As we approach the end of 2011 and take a look back at Laramie Live's top stories of 2011 there are a vast array big things that have happened in our community to consider. Laramie Live itself will celebrate its first birthday this February. It's hard to believe that we have been up and running almost a full year. Laramie Historic Train Move Begins [PHOTOS]

One of the first big stories on Laramie that we ever covered was the move of train cars in town to Laramie's historic train depot downtown. People from all over town came to watch the huge cars being moved around as it was quite the sight to see. Check out the full story with a photo gallery commemorating the big move below.

March 14th of 2011 was a historic day for Laramie Live as we released our "Ask the City" segment to the public for the very first time. Since then we have seen a slew of questions being asked by our readers that have been very interesting. At this time the city streets were a mess with potholes forming all over after winter so this question wasn't too surprising. Ann Coulter Speaks At the University of Wyoming

Back in March the University of Wyoming invited Ann Coulter to speak at the University to counteract the controversial appearance on campus by Bill Ayers. College Republicans brought the icon to town who has written Seven New York Times best sellers and is a regular guest on a number of television shows.

In May's Issue of Money Magazine Laramie was featured as being one of the best places to retire. MSNBC picked up on the story and featured our community as well, which is a big deal. Laramie Enduro Challenges Bikers this Saturday

This past summer the annual Laramie Enduro bike race that took place outside of Laramie proved to be a big hit, bringing people from all over to participate in the intense competition. Over 500 bikers and volunteers helped this event to be a big success.

In the time leading up to the football game between Wyoming and Nebraska there was a lot of hype around town. We published our top 10 reasons why Wyoming is better than Nebraska and it proved to be very popular. No matter who you were it seemed like the big game vs. Nebraska was a big deal. Boomers BBQ & Fat Katz Pizza Shak Open in Laramie

Back in October Laramie saw two new restaurants open in town and we thought it would be nice to give everyone a look at just what they had to offer. Boomers BBQ and Fat Katz Pizza Shak are still the two newest restaurants in town so if you haven't given them a shot yet come check out what we thought of them.
