We saw that the Ice and Events Center  was going to offer turkey curling soon and our first reaction was to laugh, but actually it sounds really fun! The Turkey Curling Tournament kicks off Sunday, November 20th at 12 PM and runs to 6 PM. There is a 16 team maximum and each team will play a minimum of two games; each team will contain four people. If you have never done any curling no problem! There will be a learn to curl session from 11AM to 12PM right before the tournament. This event is a food drive for local food-distributing oganizations and registration is open now! The tournament is done like any classic curling competition except for of course using frozen turkeys instead of stones.

Registration runs $25 per team for turkey curlers, and a canned or non-perishable food donation for the learn to curl event. You can grab the registration form on the city's website, but do it quick because  all available team spots are expected to fill up. If you just want to come and watch a canned or non-perishable food item gets you into the event. For more information you can also call (307) 721-2161.

Go out and have some fun and put some turkeys on ice!
