Fishing Report – Last Fishing Trip of the Season? Heck No!
The good and bad thing about knowing bad weather is coming is that you know you have some choices to make: fish or go to work on a Friday?  Well, I chose to fish, especially because the end of fishing season is near.  I also happened to get in a round of golf this past week, which feels opportune as we now have a half a foot of snow on the ground.   Of course you can still fish well into November,

Fall is one of my favorite times to fish. Cooler temperatures make you feel comfortable in your waders and you don’t care how you look. Well, I never care how I look when I’m fishing; don’t think the fish care either. I am itching to go on a road trip to the Mile...

Fishing Report: Fall Weather and Big Fish my Favorite Time of the Year!
Last Friday I was sick. I know that’s not a good excuse to not even talk about fishing, but I was miserable- I could not walk without pain. This week I still have pain, but I also have these little pills that make me feel much better! The thought of fishing was still not on my mind, but I decided I needed to get out and get some fresh air for me and the dog.  I went to the first public fishing spo

Laramie Fishing Report – Time for the Big Laramie and Big Brown Trout

I figured the day was pretty much shot especially after having brunch with Bloody Mary's at El Conquistador at 10:30 in the morning. I said we might as well go fishing and I can work on the weekend.

Laramie Fishing Report – Start Fishing the Rivers with Not Much!
The Laramie River has dropped to almost normal this past week. It is still running fast, of course, with all the snow melt left in the Snowy Range Mountains. I visited 3 locations on the Big Laramie last week. All had fish ready to be caught for sure; just finding the right lure or fly pattern is the only obstacle. Okay, the other obstacle is with the fast current you might catch a fish, but landi

Huck Finn Fishing Derby – The Winners Are!
The 41st Annual Huck Finn Fishing Derby was a huge success this Saturday with 157 kids and countless parents fishing for 3 hours for trout. Crazy as that may seen I did not get a hook in my nose, just needed to apply a lot of sunscreen to myself and kids.
