Among all the events and things to look forward to in the coming weeks, one that stands out is the Spring Bazaar from the non-profit organization Xi Beta.

The event will go from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on March 24, at the Albany County Fairgrounds and feature the sale of many unique items, including: stained glass, jewelry, metal art, wood art, crochet and sewn items, scrap-booking material, windmill nursery plants, candles, tapestry computer bags, luggage, toys, books, barn quilts and of course... food (including pork sandwiches, chili, hot dogs, nachos and the legendary Big Beta Caramel Roll).

Despite the vast variety and quantity of items, what really sets this event apart is the fact that 100% of the profits will directly return to the Laramie Community. Occurring annually for approximately 20 years, the Xi Beta Bazaar donates to such local organizations as: Relay for Life, Happiness 5K, Laramie Head Start, WIC, Cathedral Home for Children, Albany County Public Library, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Greenbelt Trail, Christmas and Thanksgiving baskets for the needy, Crisis Center, Interfaith, Teen Center, Special Olympics, Roof the Rink, IMH Hospice Room, Hospice of Laramie, Life Line, Laramie Plains Museum, Pharmacy Frolic 5K, Down Under Bowl, Friend's of Community Health, Snow Sculpting, The Laramie Fire Department-School Safety Programs and the soup kitchen.

Believe it or not, that is only a partial list- this is certainly an event that benefits the community.
