The 104th edition of the Border War is Saturday at War Memorial Stadium, when the Wyoming Cowboys face the Colorado State Rams in a Mountain West football showdown. It's the longest running rivalry west of the Mississippi River and dates back to 1899.
In two weeks, War Memorial Stadium will host the five Wyoming High School Football State Championship games for a fourth consecutive year. Ten teams from around Wyoming will converge on the Gem City to see if they can earn bragging rights for their school and if all that hard work culminates in a title.
Technically, the deadline to register to vote in Wyoming has passed. However, Albany County Clerk Jackie Gonzalez is quick to point out that there are still opportunities to register and vote in the November 6 general election.
