The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will receive updates on a wide variety of issues Wednesday through Friday during its regular May meeting.

Members of the board are scheduled to then participate in UW’s spring commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday. The three-day meeting begins with a working lunch at 11:30 a.m.

Wednesday in Room 506 of Coe Library. All meetings are open to the public except for executive sessions. Public testimony will be accepted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The business meeting, in which trustees take formal action on agenda items, is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Among the topics about which trustees will be updated Wednesday-Friday are the university’s engineering and science initiatives, construction, budget issues, campus safety and security, UW’s family practice residency centers, administrative searches and strategic planning. The board is scheduled to select an architect and engineer for the planned Corbett Pool addition; to name UW’s new Golf Practice Facility; and change the name of the UW Planetarium.

On Wednesday afternoon, the trustees are scheduled to tour the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center, which is under construction.
