Just in case you needed one more reason to get pumped for the Lupe Fiasco concert on Friday, Jan. 20th, the University of Wyoming has announced that hip-hopper Molina will be the opening act. While the show is sold out, a limited number of tickets will be released for sale the night of the show.

For all of you fans of hip hop the name Lupe Fiasco more than likely shows up on a number of your itunes or Pandora playlists. Lupe's rise to fame stems from his reputation as a rap philosopher who presents sharp, dynamic lyrics. His most popular songs many of you might have heard include "Kick, Push," his version of "Daydreamin" and his most recent hits "Words I Never Said" and "The Show Goes On." Lupe Fiasco will perform at the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences auditorium Friday, January 20th.

For those of you who have never taken advantage of this unique celebration, here's how it works. Just stop by participating merchants with your addressed and stamped Valentines. Then, on February 9, 2012, at noon, representatives of Townsquare Media will pick up all Valentines and hand deliver them to the post office in Loveland, CO.

More than 410 University of Wyoming employees contributed $122,500 in support of Albany County's 14 United Way agencies. The funding is part of the $400,000 total raised in the capital campaign for United Way in Albany County.

[UPDATE 1/6/12] Bills circulating through the house and senate in Washington could potentially threaten the commercial air service into Laramie currently provided by Great Lakes Airlines. If you were not aware there is a government subsidy program in place by the name of "Essential Air Service" that actually pays Great Lakes Airlines a predetermined amount for every passenger that they transport to and from the Laramie airport.
