Night of The Derby Dead This Saturday!

The Naughty Pines Derby Dames have taken on quite the following in Laramie and to celebrate the Halloween season they would love for the public to attend “Night of The Derby Dead” this Saturday October 22nd. Doors open at 6pm with the begins at 7pm. It will be an evening full of fun and excitement and of course hardcore roller derby action!

“Night of The Derby Dead” will feature an intra-league bout between the Bad Aspens and The Wicked WYldflowers. The setting is a zombie apocalypse in which The Bad Aspens will play the role of human survivors taking on the terrifically horrifying zombie team of the Wicked WYldflowers.

“Night of The Derby Dead” will be a night of fun for the whole family! Not only will you get the chance to watch 14 girls going head to head in roller derby but attendees are also encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes!

To step things up a notch higher, “Night of The Derby Dead” will offer a safe treat for kids and a costume contest will take place at half time for all the youngsters who attend decked out in their costumes! Those who attend will also get a chance to enter there names in a 50/50 raffle. Half of the proceeds from the raffle will go towards breast cancer awareness.

The action packed night might make one work up and appetite and to make sure nobody goes hungry or thirsty drinks and food will be available from Jacob’s Heavenly Treats.

The Naughty Pines Derby Dames is a community based roller derby team who loves to give back to the community. A portion of the proceeds from the night will go to the Laramie Civic Center for continued improvements to the building.
