Those of you wishing for a snowy Christmas will more than likely get just that. In the days leading up to Christmas the weather across the state will be seeing a change, the biggest of those changes being snow! A winter storm is forecast for late in the week meaning there will more than likely be snow on Christmas day!

The Laramie Police Department is currently investigating a December 3rd incident in which three juveniles between the ages of 12 and 15 were hospitalized after ingesting large doses of generic over the counter (OTC) antihistamines.

The University of Wyoming will be holding their fall commencement ceremonies Thursday, December 1st through Saturday, December 3rd. Kicking off the commencement ceremonies will be a multicultural graduation celebration will be held at 3:30pm Thursday, December 1st in the Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom.

It’s official, The Laramie Police Department will be hiring two more officers.  The hiring of two officers was voted on by the Laramie City Council. According to Laramie Police Chief Dale Stalder the department currently has 49 officers. Adding two more will put Laramie at the FBI’s mountain states recommended staffing level.

This morning the Laramie area will continue to see snow with an accumulation of 1-3 inches with a total storm accumulation of 6-10 inches. There have been road closures due to snow and bad weather. It’s Law Week at the University of Wyoming and Egil “Bud” Krough will be one of the weeks featured speakers. Krough was the Nixon administration lawyer who served prison time for ordering the break-in of Pentagon Papers leaker Daniel Ellsberg’s psychiatrist. Krough will talk at 5:30pm in room 178  this Tuesday October 25th.

Television shows now days seem to cover almost every aspect of life but the ones that seem to capture most viewers attention are the competition shows like American Idol, America’s Got Talent, The Sing Off and So You Think You Can Dance. Tonight starting at 9pm the University of Wyoming will be doing their own version of “So You Think You Can Dance.” It will take place at UW’s Education Auditorium

The Laramie Police Department along with the United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) will be holding another prescription drug take back day on Saturday October 29th at the Express Pharmacy on Grand Avenue.

The Naughty Pines Derby Dames have taken on quite the following in Laramie and to celebrate the Halloween season they would love for the public to attend “Night of The Derby Dead” this Saturday October 22nd. Doors open at 6pm with the begins at 7pm. It will be an evening full of fun and excitement and of course hardcore roller derby action!

McAlister’s is teaming up with the University of Wyoming to host a community night to benefit the University of Wyoming Art Museum’s Shelton Studio.
