Ask The City: Will There Ever Be a Path Around Kiwanis Park?

I was just wondering if Parks & Rec will ever place a jogging track around Kiwanis Park? I know it was in the plans back in the 90's, but it never came about. It would be nice to have a place to walk/run without getting muddy when it rains.

The City's Response:

The Parks and Recreation Department is planning on installing a walking/jogging track around Kiwanis Park in the future. The project is currently not listed within the Capital Planning Summary until FY2019.

It should be noted that the original master plan of Kiwanis Park did show a walking/jogging path around the perimeter of the park. The Parks, Trails and Recreation Ad Hoc Advisory Committee is currently reviewing and updating the Parks and Recreation master plan for all city parks that will include Kiwanis Park and the future walking/jogging path. The complete master plan update is scheduled for completion in late 2012 or early 2013.
