Your Question:

Will all of the apartment buildings south of Russell Street be getting the new recycling bins? If not I feel this is very discriminatory, just because we don't live in a house shouldn't mean that we can't recycle. Yes I know that the Ark takes recycling, but they do not take the majority of everyday items. Things such as cereal boxes and plastic above #2. The city's new recycling will take those items. Thanks for your time.

The City's Answer:

The City of Laramie’s Curbside Recycling Program is currently being rolled out to approximately 8,000 residential customers.  While significant time and effort went into the initial stages of the program, curbside recycling remains a significant change for the community.  Like most large-scale programs of this type, improvements and modifications will be made over time to make the program more efficient.  Future changes may occur that would include additional locations, such as large apartments, and discussions that may lead to changes will be directed by the community and  Laramie City Council.
