Your Question:

Someone from the city needs to come out to the apartment areas East of 9th through 15th south of Russell/Spring Creek. Not a single one of the sidewalks are shoveled or salted. They are covered in ice and snow and its very dangerous to walk. I know this is a law and it should be enforced.

The City's Response:

Public sidewalks do have to be cleared of snow and ice following every snow event. We will route this information to our Code Enforcement Inspector to take appropriate action.  We encourage anyone observing snow removal violations to visit our web site at www.cityoflaramie.org .  Click on the words “Report a Concern” on the left side of the page.  At the next page, go to the right side of the page to the “Request Tracker” and click on “Other” under “Community Development”  to report the violation. Violations may also be phoned in directly to the Community Development Department at 721-5285 or 721-5271. We appreciate our citizens’ efforts in helping to keep Laramie a safe, pedestrian-friendly place.
