Ask The City – Can I Get a Smaller Recycling Bin?

Is there some way to get smaller trash and recycling bins? I live alone, so I don't need something so large. They don't fit in my garage and look ugly in the yard.

The City's Answer:

At the current time the City is not offering smaller containers for the recycling program.  As the recycling program evolves and operational information is gathered, changes will be considered to improve the efficiency of the program.  The City will keep in mind that some residents desire smaller polycarts.

It should be noted that a resident not wanting a recycling polycart has the option of asking the City to pick up the cart.  However, there will be still be a monthly charge for the service.
