If your kids are football fans, pay attention because this is one event you won't want to miss! The Wyoming Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) are raising money for a missions trip to Haiti and their last big fundraiser is a Football Fun Day for Haiti with the Wyoming Cowboys for kids in eighth grade and under.

The whole Cowboy football team will be out on Jonah Field to interact with kids, run drills and sign autographs from 11:30AM to 12:30PM before the begining of their annual Spring Game on Saturday, April 21st. You might want to arrive a little early with your kids as a waiver will have to be filled out to participate in the event.

During the Football Fun Day, FCA will be selling special Wyoming in Haiti t-shirts to help raise funds for a mission trip to honor fallen Cowboy player Reuben Narcisse. The t-shirts are $15 with $10 of that being donated to FCA; the shirts are also available at the Brown N' Gold Outlet. Narcisse was killed in a tragic car accident between Fort Collins and Laramie on the morning of September 6, 2010.

May 7th -13th, 25 student athletes, coaches and athlete alumni will travel to Port Au Prince, Haiti to work with Lyonel Narcisse's (Reuben's father's) ministry, Haiti Premiere Eglise de Christien. Trip organizer Aaron Frude said:

We will put on football and volleyball camps, and train up  local club soccer coaches who are eager to learn about and implement American football and volleyball, so that they can continue to play and grow in their sports skills long after we leave.  This will be an opportunity to utilize sports to encourage the youth and provide opportunities for them to learn valuable life lessons that are learned through participating in organized sports.  We believe these camps will help minister to the children emotionally who are constantly reminded of loss and destruction.

If you have any questions about the event, please contact Aaron Frude via e-mail or by calling (307) 760-1391. Donations will be accepted at the Spring Game or you can visit the Fellowship of Christian Athlete's website as well if you would like to help.  To date 45 percent of the $40,000 needed for the trip has been raised.
