What’s Up with the Orange Barrels? – Ask the City

When will the orange barrels be removed from the "Y" 130/230 intersection in West Laramie? I know they were there for paving the parking lot of the new gas station. But, the station has been complete for a while, and the wind has been blowing the barrels into the middle of the "Y" turn off making huge traffic jams that are going to cause a major wreck.

The City's Response:

The orange barrels at the “Y” 130/230 intersection were temporarily required by the Wyoming Department of Transportation to restrict the ability of traffic to turn left into the new convenience store. Soon, the island will be extended at the “Y” to prevent the left turn and the barrels will be removed.

WYDOT will be contacted regarding the problem with the barrels blowing down.
