Local Walmart stores across Wyoming will participate in a fund raiser for Make-A-Wish Wyoming. Beginning tomorrow, September 22, Walmart stores will team up with Straight Talk Wireless to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Consumers are encouraged to go to their local Walmart between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to participate in a brief demonstration of a Straight Talk Wireless Android smart phone.  Straight Talk Wireless will donate one dollar for each shopper who participates in the demonstration. The ultimate goal of the program is to raise a total of $1,000,000.

The Laramie Walmart store will host the "One Minute One Million" event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 22, Sept. 29, and Oct. 6. Other Wyoming stores participating in the event include stores in Cody, Cheyenne, Gillette and Casper. A total of 10 Wyoming stores will participate in the event.

The Make-A Wish Foundation is focused on granting wishes to children with life threatening diseases. The foundation wants to enrich the human experience for those children who are ill. The funds raised at this charity event will help the Make-A Wish Foundation in granting wishes in Wyoming towns and across the country.
