If you've been to downtown Laramie recently, you may have noticed a new burger joint on Third Street. Burger Xtreme opened on October 6 with a wide variety of burgers on their menu.

Surprisingly, owner Bryan Kafader says the burgers, which are all served with beef from the Butcher Block, may not be the biggest thing on the menu. That's because anybody who dines in at Burger Xtreme gets to enjoy bottomless hand-cut fries. I know, I started drooling at that point too, but I must warn you that everything Burger Xtreme serves comes with a heavy dose of grease. That will be great news to some, not so great to others.

If you're wanting to try out Burger Xtreme, I suggest hitting up Xtreme Hour from 2-4 p.m. For $4.95 you get either a classic or rodeo burger with your choice of bottomless fries or sweet potato fries. A regular size soft drink can be added for $1.

Kafader says they are still waiting for everything to get approved so they can serve alcohol, but he's hoping that will all be worked out in a couple of weeks.

Burger Xtreme is open at 204 S. 3rd Street, Suite C Monday-Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. They do have carry out available if you want to call ahead at (307)742-1100.
