Technically, the deadline to register to vote in Wyoming has passed. However, Albany County Clerk Jackie Gonzalez is quick to point out that there are still opportunities to register and vote in the November 6 general election. One option is to head to the county clerk's office and vote absentee when you register.

"After registering to vote they are required to cast their ballot," says Gonzalez. "That's considered their election day."

The Albany County Clerk's office will be open every weekday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Monday, November 5th. Picture identification is required to register to vote. On election day, the only way to register and vote will be at your polling place. Gonzalez says you can determine where your polling place is by calling 721-2543 or by clicking here. Ten days ahead of the election Gonzalez reports over 2900 absentee ballot requests, which is higher than 2008.
