As summer approaches and school begins to wrap up, it's time to think about vacation and all of the exciting places to go for a great time. We picked some of our favorite destinations within driving distance and are giving you the chance to win one of four great trips in the Laramie Rewards Program, which is 100% FREE! Congratulations to Karen Lundahl who our readers choose as their favorite Laramie mom in our Mother's Day Tribute! A personal friend of Karen's, Ami Cass, nominated this wonderful Laramie mom who has been a parent for 19 years. In that time Karen has adopted and cared for 11 children!

Mother's Day is quickly approaching as this year it falls on Sunday, May 13th. Mother's play such an important part in our families and communities, that we at Laramie Live want to help honor them this Mother's Day with our tribute to moms. Whether it be your own mother, a neighbor, a co-worker or a friend, we are asking you to tell us what makes this woman a phenomenal mom so that we can help honor them.

While it is supposed to snow this weekend, the weather lately which has broken 15,000 US records has had things feeling a lot like summer here in Laramie. Seeing as that is the case, we decided to add all kinds of outdoor gear to the Laramie Rewards Program that you can win to help you get outside and have some fun. Don't worry, all the items that we picked up are highly rated for their performance and are really nice pieces of equipment!

The Mountain West Basketball Tournament in Fabulous Las Vegas, NV is just a little less than a month away now. If you are a fan of Cowboy or Cowgirl basketball, or just love going to Vegas, then we have a treat for you! Townsquare Media of Laramie is giving away two trips (Trips are for two people each) to Las Vegas to see the basketball tournament on March 7th through the 10th.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner; for all of you guys out there, this year it is Tuesday, February 14th so don't forget. There are all kinds of things that you can do around Laramie to make Valentines Day a special time, but we have a way for you to have a great time that is potentially free.

If you entered a photo into our Holiday Lights Contest in the past few weeks, please resubmit your entry. Most people did not realize that their picture was not being accepted correctly by the entry form and giving an error which caused the entry not to go into the system. As a result we are asking evryone to submit their photos again so that we are sure we have you included.

Excitement continues to grow with the second week of drawings from Santa's Bag O' Cash. Three lucky winners walked away with Santa Cash last Saturday at that week's featured business: The Boot Barn on North 3rd Street.

We found this picture and really have no idea what context it was used in so we are going to let you decide what the proper caption for this picture should be. Give us your most creative answer for a caption in the Facebook comments below and we will choose our favorite response before the radio show tomorrow morning at 8AM...

That's right, the days of collecting "Jingle Bucks" around Laramie before Christmas are unfortunately gone as Hometown Holiday Hurrah is no more, but the concept is still alive and well. Laramie's Chamber of Commerce decided to end the Hometown Holiday Hurrah promotion earlier this month, but radio stations around town have jumped in a pooled their resources to bring the community Santa's Bag-O-Cash in its place.
