Laramie Police Arrest Man for Vandalism, Simple Assault
A Cheyenne man was arrested Wednesday for vandalism.
According to the Laramie Police Department, on July 25th officers responded to the 1000 block of North Frontera for a report of a domestic disturbance.
Officers investigated and arrested Tony Curtis Brown Jr., 26, from Cheyenne. Brown is charged with simple assault and felony property destruction and defacement, commonly referred to as vandalism.
Brown remains incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center. His bond has not been set.
The LPD says a person is guilty of property destruction and defacement if he knowingly defaces, injures of destroys someone else’s property without their consent. Property destruction is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both.
A person is guilty of simple assault if they unlawfully attempt to cause bodily injury to another person. Simple assault is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $750.
