Police are working to determine the origin of a tooth that was discovered in a yard in Laramie Wednesday afternoon.

According to a press release sent out Thursday, officers were called to the scene in the 700 block of Clark Street at approximately 2:17 p.m. Wednesday.

"Out of an abundance of caution, detectives are working with specialists to search the area and ensure no additional items of concern are present," the press release reads.

Police Presence

Police say community members may notice a police presence in the area as the work continues, but there is no indication of any immediate danger or threat to public safety at this time.

"No additional information is available for release, and updates will be provided if warranted," the press release reads.
