Laramie Little League Stays Alive in Gillette
The Laramie Little League All-Stars came out swinging Wednesday and grabbed a dominant victory against Sheridan to stay alive in the Wyoming District 2 Little League Tournament.
With the pre-game coin-flip, Laramie was determined to be the visiting team, and they made the most of their opportunity to bat, knocking in ten runs in the first frame. The tone was set early when Blake Moore reached base on a walk and Nathan Burman brought him home with a towering shot over the right-center wall for the first two runs of the game. The rest of the team followed suit, as all starting batters in the Laramie lineup scored in the first inning before Sheridan registered an out. The dominance continued throughout the game as every player on the Laramie roster scored a run in a 14-5 victory.
Sheridan remained scoreless through the first three innings but never really put the game in jeopardy, and with the win, Laramie clinched the second seed from their pool and remains in contention for a berth in the state tournament.
To clinch the state tournament berth, Laramie will have to win their next game against Newcastle. The game will be played Thursday at 4 pm and coverage can be heard on KOWB at 3:55 pm or by clicking here.
