It's time to rodeo once again as we head into the summer months here in Laramie. Make sure to come out and support the rodeo team from the University of Wyoming at the Laramie River Rendezvous Rodeo. The UW Hansen Arena is hosting the event this weekend. George Howard, the coach of the UW rodeo team, has been impressed with the support in the past and says that you had better be there on time or you might have to stand, but regardless everyone has a great time (events schedule & times below)! Best of all tickets are only $5 at the door.

The River Rendezvous Rodeo began 62 years ago and was held annually in the field house at the University of Wyoming, but following the construction of the Martha Hansen Teaching Arena in 1996 the event moved to its current location. The event starts Friday, April 29th at noon and wraps up on Sunday afternoon. The last day should be entertaining as the ten highest ranked riders from each event on the prvious days come back to compete in the rodeo finals. Championship buckles and team trophies will be awarded at the end of Sunday's final performance. The official rodeo schedule is as follows:

  • Friday, April 29th - Slack performance at 12 PM & First Performance at 7 PM
  • Saturday, April 30th - Performances begin at 1 PM and 7 PM
  • Sunday, May 1st - Final Performance at 1 PM

Tickets are $5 at the door; for questions call (307) 760-1978.
