Thanks to an alert motorist and quick reaction by the Wyoming Highway Patrol, there were no injuries in a vehicle fire at the top of the Summit on Interstate 80 Friday afternoon.

Two troopers used fire extinguishers to stop the fire of a small four door car. The motorists pulled over after they saw smoke coming out of the vehicle near the Lincoln Monument Exit on eastbound Interstate 80.

The vehicle did sustain major damages, but luckily it's occupants escaped injury free.
