Busy Day For Legislators In Laramie
Wyoming legislators are in Laramie today to discuss important issues. They will be discussing proposed changes to the state’s open records laws as well as discuss whether or not to pass a law making it a crime for parents or guardians not to report a missing child. The proposed law has been dubbed as “Caylee’s Law” following the Casey Anthony trial.

Governor Mead To Be Keynote Speaker At University of Wyoming Honors Convocation

On Thursday October 13th the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences will hold its annual Keith and Thyra Thomson Honors Convocation. University Of Wyoming Renames Transit & Parking Service’s To "Roundup"
The University of Wyoming’s Division of Auxiliary Services has announced that their Transit and Parking Services transit system will now be named “Roundup!” The name fits nicely for the cowboy state’s only four year University which oddly enough tends to round up thousands of cowboys and cowgirls from across the state.

WyoTech Lays Off 22 Employees
Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie has announced that 22 employees have been laid off. WyoTech is a part of Corinthian Colleges Incorporated who owns and operates six campuses nationwide. The staff reduction now leaves WyoTech with 203 employees.

University of Wyoming Sees Increase in Sex Crimes and Burglaries
Last year the University of Wyoming experienced a rise in forcible sex crimes as well as burglaries. The University of Wyoming reported there were nine forcible sex offenses and 51 burglaries in 2010.

University of Wyoming Board of Trustees Extend President Buchanan’s Contract
The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees is confident with President Tom Buchanan’s performance and have approved a one-year extension of his contract. The contract will now go through June 30th, 2015.

UW Police Department to Auction Bikes and Abandoned Property
The University of Wyoming’s Police Department is holding their annual bike and abandoned property auction this Wednesday, September 7th. The auction will be held in the north parking lot of the UWPD building at 1426 Flint Street.
