Your Question:

Any idea why we lost power last night (November 5th, 2011) for a couple hours?

The City's Answer:

A power outage affecting 6,700 customers in Laramie occurred late Saturday night, shortly after 11 p.m. Customers in the south half of the town were affected.  Rocky Mountain Power crews and Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) employees restored power at 1:22 a.m. Sunday morning. The power outage was caused by a loss of service from one of WAPA’s transmission lines to Rocky Mountain Power’s electrical system in Laramie, which required the switching of power supply sources to restore power to all affected customers.

Response provided by Harold Babbitt of Rocky Mountain Power.
