Your Question:

Is Terry Miner ever going to be made to clean up his property out by the river? Why is he getting away with this mess?

The City's Answer:

The property periodically sends employees out to pick up trash on his property.  The bulk of the trash appears to come from the Pilot truck stop to the west.

As far as the automobiles, he is not violating zoning ordinances.  His property is used as a licensed automobile towing and storage business. The property is zoned B2, and his business is appropriate for that zoning district.  The following section from the nuisance ordinance applies:

8.32.170 - Junked vehicles and junk.

C.

                         Exceptions to Unsheltered Junked Vehicle.

                          2.

This section does not apply to vehicle storage incident to an automobile sales, towing, storage or repair business licensed in such and operated in compliance with all applicable law.

The property is currently for sale.  Additional questions can be directed to the  City’s Code Enforcement Inspector at 721-5285.
