A micro-surfacing project is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday on Third Street (US 30-287) in Laramie between Curtis Street on the north and Boswell Drive on the south.

WYDOT Resident Engineer Tim Morton said the road will remain open during the work, with traffic narrowed to one lane in each direction.

All work will be performed between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m, and the project is scheduled for completion by July 24.

WYDOT does micro-surfacing work each summer to repair damage, provide a skid-resistant surface and prevent water from getting into the pavement through cracks and potholes. The work extends the life of the pavement by five to seven years.
