The University of Wyoming Art Museum will open its doors for free on Saturday, Sept. 29, while participating in a nationwide event. Museum Day Live! is an annual event sponsored by Smithsonian magazine. Museums across the country and the state will open their doors for free for those who have tickets to the event.
An up and coming Swedish singer and songwriter will play at The Crowbar and Grill on Saturday, September 1st. Sophia Talvik will begin the show at 8 p.m. Saturday night.
The Cooper Center for Creative Arts is hosting the first Premiere Art Sale and Auction on Thursday, August 30th, allowing the artists their first opportunity to sell their art as a meaningful source of income.
A three day art show beginning August 10th here in Laramie will highlight 11 local artists and their work. The show will feature artists with a variety of interests and mediums. Art including pen and ink drawings, oil paintings, photography, mixed media and pastels will all be featured at the event.
In the span of a few weeks, three new art galleries will open in historic downtown Laramie bringing the total of new businesses to open downtown since January 2010 to 30.
