In the span of a few weeks, three new art galleries will open in historic downtown Laramie.

Last weekend, the Works of Wyoming art gallery celebrated its grand opening at 211 First Street. The WOW gallery will feature a variety of work from Wyoming artists as well as offer workshops for budding artists.

According to their website, “WOW was created to encourage Wyoming artists with networking, training and workshops, art community building. WOW works directly with artists to develop training in business and marketing practices”.

This Friday, Ardent Photography, a husband and wife artistic team specializing in weddings, senior portraits and family photography will open at 107 E. Grand Ave., across from Coal Creek Coffee. Stop in to learn more, Aug. 3 from 10 to 6 p.m.

Already a big supporter of the downtown, collaborative Honey Bee Photography, 117 Grand Ave. next to Poppy’s, will be celebrating its studio and gallery grand opening on August 10 at 6 p.m.. Owner Faith Noel says of her product and business, “My art is to illustrate and embody YOUR life in that brief glimpse a photograph allows. I am privileged. I want to design a space where community, collaborators, students, the curious, the locals and the families can come together”.

Honey Bee’s open house will feature artists Wendy Gill and Gary Schmitt and the Awesomatic photo booth.
