The British have invaded again! Well, kind of.

With the sheer volume of television being produced in what has been dubbed the "Golden Age of Television," it's no surprise that a number of British television shows and miniseries are being imported  in addition the multitude of shows produced in the United States.

With the advent of streaming sites such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, US television watchers have been able to consume series like "Sherlock," "Downton Abbey," and the orginal version of "The Office" in droves.

Cabletv.com has compiled a list of the most watched British television shows, past and present, and cross listed them with Google Trends to determine the most watched television show by state. The complete list can be found here.

The long running "Doctor Who" is Wyoming's most streamed British show. The sci-fi show, which was rebooted in 2005, is currently streaming seasons 1-9 on Amazon Prime.
