Wyoming Man Stabbed in Chest Following Argument
Police say a Wyoming man stabbed another man in the chest early Saturday after an argument turned into a physical fight.
Mario Moreno, 56, was arrested for aggravated assault and booked into the Sweetwater County Detention Facility, according to a press release from the Rock Springs Police Department.
Police say in the early hours of Saturday morning, officers and EMS were called to 415 F Street in Rock Springs for a reported stabbing.
An investigation indicated that Moreno had been arguing with 32-year-old Wesley Carter -- who is also a Rock Springs resident -- and that argument escalated into a physical altercation.
During the fight, Moreno allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed Carter once in the chest.
Carter was taken to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, where he was treated for his injuries.
Police continue to investigate.
