In celebration of the day of love, Friday Night Fever and the Wyoming Swing Club will host a Valentine’s Day dance Friday, Feb. 13, at 9 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom. The free event is open to students and the public.

Wyoming Swing Club, a registered student organization at UW, will provide swing dance lessons beginning at 8:30 p.m., followed by dancing.

The Wyoming Swing Club meets every Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. in the Wyoming Union. Members teach swing-era dances, including the Jitterbug, Charleston and Lindy Hop. For more information about the Wyoming Swing Club, like the group on Facebook.

Friday Night Fever also will show the film “The Theory of Everything” the same night in the Wyoming Union Family Room at 6:30, 9 and 11:30 p.m. Starring Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, “The Theory of Everything” is an adaptation from the memoir “Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen” by Jane Wilde Hawking. The film describes her relationship with her ex-husband, theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, his diagnosis of motor neuron disease, and his success in physics.
