The University of Wyoming Art Museum will open its doors for free on Saturday, Sept. 29, while participating in a nationwide event. Museum Day Live! is an annual event sponsored by Smithsonian magazine. Museums across the country and the state will open their doors for free for those who have tickets to the event.
The University of Wyoming Geological Museum is closing for the summer to get some upgrades. Before it receives its first renovation in decades, the public is invited to take one more look around and a look ahead at a pre-renovation reception this Thursday.
The Laramie Plains Museum will be hosting its annual preservation week between April 22nd-April 28th. The Laramie Plains Museum has multiple events throughout the week that the public can attend. The events are focused around teaching the basics of preserving family heirlooms and documents.
Visit the Tate Museum Lee Rex dig site near Lusk, Woming
Visit days will be held on Saturdays beginning June 18, 2011 and continuing every Saturday until the dig is completed. We anticipate being at the dig site through July 15, 2011, but you will want to call the Tate Geological Museum at 268-2447 to confirm that the dig is still in progress after July 9.
