The City of Laramie Mosquito Control has scheduled the application of granular larvicide in order to control larval mosquitoes in rural areas around the city. The application is scheduled for Tuesday, June 15, beginning at daylight. Based on surveillance data, the thresholds have been reached to begin fogging operations to control mosquitos. Therefore, residential fogging will begin this evening, June 7th, weather permitting in the west zone. Surveillance data indicate that the west zone has the greatest adult mosquito numbers and thus will be treated first...

The larvicide will be spread so as to get rid of the mosquito larva around the rural areas of the city

The fogging will take place at 9 pm, so as not to interfere with events in town.

They are beginning in the west zone of the city.

Should the weather prohibit this from happening, there is a backup date of Monday, May 25.

We are in full swing when it comes to mosquito season in Casper. I for one am not a fan of how many times I've been bitten this year already! I itch and I feel like nothing I'm doing is making this problem go away. As in I've had the same bite marks for the better part of two weeks now.

With the arrival of spring, the City of Laramie is also anticipating the arrival of mosquitoes.
