Cowboys fans can help make dreams come true for cancer patients fighting life-threatening situations at the Cowboys basketball game on Saturday, February 14 at the Arena Auditorium in Laramie.
Wyoming Cowboy fans know how valuable Leonard Washington was as a red-shirt junior to the team last season. He was a second-team All-Mountain West and All-District 17 selection and led UW in scoring (12.9 ppg) and rebounding (6.9 rpg). It all was part of the 21-12 season, in which the Cowboys were back in the post-season for the first time since 2009.
Charles Hankerson, Jr. is becoming a Cowboy. He will transfer to the University of Wyoming from the University of Alabama with two years of eligibility remaining after he sits out the 2012-13 season. Cowboy basketball coach Larry Shyatt made the announcement Monday.
The Wyoming Cowboys were unable to recover from their worst first half of the season and lost to the UNLV Rebels 58-46 in a quarterfinal game of the 2012 Conoco Mountain West Men’s Basketball Championships on Thursday. As a result, the Cowboys struggled from the field, making only three buckets in the first half on their way to just 11 points, which is the lowest in the history of the MW tournament.

This may be why some have said that the purpose of expectations is for them to be surpassed.
With head coach Larry Shyatt's bid to 'Restore the Magic' inside the Arena-Auditorium, the atmosphere at Cowboy basketball games has been better than Laramie has seen in quite a few years. UW is 18-8 on the season and the success seems to have added to the number of people finding their way inside the A-A. So are all of these fans fare-weather?
Tomorrow is a big day for the Wyoming Cowboys football and basketball teams. On the field the Cowboys will go face to face against the TCU Horned Frogs! The Cowboys and Horned Frogs are tied for first place in the Mountain West Conference and the Cowboys are not wanting to give up a loss. On the court the Cowboys will host the first game of the season with an exhibition match against CSU-pueblo. T
