Cheyenne Frontier Days Announces 2013 Concert Lineup
One of the biggest events in southeast Wyoming summer after summer is Cheyenne Frontier Days. The Daddy of ‘em All has big rodeo, great food, western heritage and of course, some of the best entertainment in the region.
On Wednesday night the lineup for Cheyenne Frontier Nights® 2013 was announced.
United Express Now Serving Laramie Regional Airport
At 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, the final Great Lakes Aviation plane departed from the Laramie Regional Airport and just an hour and a half later the first United Express plane was on the runway. The 30-seat EMB-120 carried 25 people to Denver International Airport according to Airport Manager Jack Skinner, who also noted that every United Express flight has departed on time through two days of service.
Man Found in Laramie Civic Center Bathroom with Minor
A Laramie man has been arrested after being found in a female restroom with a minor girl at the Laramie Plains Civic Center on Friday evening according to the Laramie Police Department. Commander Mitch Cushman reports that the 20-year-old was arrested for sexual abuse of a minor and says they are still investigating to see if this incident is connected to a similar incident that took place in August at Undine Park.
Boise State Bowls Over Wyoming Cowboys
The Wyoming Cowboys remain winless on their home field after losing to #21 Boise State 45-14 on Saturday under Interim Head Coach Pete Kaligis. After the game was tied at 7-7 early in the second quarter, the Broncos took control and scored 31 straight points for their seventh straight victory.

Dave Christensen Fined and Suspended by Wyoming AD Tom Burman
University of Wyoming Athletics Director Tom Burman announced on Monday that head football coach Dave Christensen is suspended for one week and has been fined $50,000 for his actions after the Air Force game. Christensen was informed on Monday morning of Burman’s decision.
Laramie Advances to Wyoming State Volleyball Tournament
The Laramie High School volleyball team finished third at the 4A East Regional Volleyball Tournament in Gillette this weekend. The Lady Plainsmen earned the No. 3 seed at the Wyoming State Volleyball Tournament which will start in Casper on Thursday.
Wyoming Loses Homecoming Game to Air Force, 28-27
Brett Smith watched from the sideline as Wyoming lost to Air Force, 28-27, during homecoming in Laramie on Saturday. It was the Cowboys fourth loss this year by seven points or less, and they remain win-less (0-3) at home in 2012.
Search Begins for Next UW President
The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees is hoping to announce the next UW President in February of 2013. Board President David Bostrom said they want to find a successor for Tom Buchanan, who will retire next summer, as soon they can.

The University of Wyoming campus was filled with country music on Saturday night as Easton Corbin made his first visit to Laramie. Corbin opened with the title track from his second album ‘All Over the Road’ in the Arts & Sciences Auditorium.
