This Saturday, November 12th is the last day to view “Silver & Metalwork of the 20th Century: The Margo Grant Walsh Collection” at the University of Wyoming Art Museum. More than 185 silver and metal objects from retired interior designer Margo Grant Walsh's private collection are on display.

Walsh is a self-educated collector and began collecting silver from antique shows, flea markets and dealers. She currently has a world-class collection from some of the most famous and most obscure artisans of the 20th century. Her exhibit features silver from Scandinavia, Great Britain, Mexico and the United States. The display also includes a more specific focus on Native American work from the southwest U.S. and Mexico. A common theme in the display is that of showcasing work from a wide range of geographic regions, craftsmanship, intricacy and the detail of of each of the works.

The exhibition is funded in part by Roy and Caryl Cline, FMC Corporation, the National Advisory Board of the UW Art Museum Endowment, the National Advisory Board of the UW Art Museum and Wyoming Public Radio.

The University of Wyoming Art Museum is located at 2111 Willett Drive. The museum offers free admission and is open Monday through Saturday from 10am – 5pm with Monday hours extended to 9 pm. For additional information visit their website, blog or call (307) 766-6622
