Roof Material Takes Out Laramie Power
It was lights out for about 2,100 Rocky Mountain Power customers in Laramie for a couple of hours on Wednesday afternoon. A Rocky Mountain Power spokesperson said some tin roof material took out a line, causing the power outage.
The spokesperson said that when the wire went down, protective devices shut down the Spring Creek substation. The outage occurred at 1:51 p.m. and power was restored at 3:48 p.m. This was the second outage this month in Laramie.
