Man Involved in I-80 Hit-and-Run Arrested on DUI, Marijuana Charges
The Laramie Police Department arrested a man accused of being involved in a hit-and-run accident on I-80 on Sunday, Feb. 4.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol asked the LPD for assistance in locating a vehicle involved the hit-and-run, according to the LPD.
LPD officers found the vehicle and the driver, Joshua Stoner, 34. Officers investigated Stoner and arrested him and charged him with felony possession of marijuana and a second offense of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Felony possession of marijuana is punishable by up to 5 years in prison, $5,000 in fines or both. Driving under the influence of alcohol second offense is a misdemeanor punishable by up to seven years in prison, $200 in fines or both, the LPD says.
Stoner is currently incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center on a $2,000 bond.
