A Colorado man was arrested on charges of strangulation of a household member after the Laramie Police Department responded to a report early this week.

According to the LPD, at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, April 1, officers received a report of a domestic battery that had occurred on the 200 block of North 3rd Street. The officers responded and conducted an investigation and as a result arrested Jordan Kreutzer, 28 and charged him with strangulation of a household member.

Kreutzer posted 10% of a $20,000 bond and has been released from the Albany County Detention Center.

The LPD says strangulation of a household member is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
