Laramie Man Arrested on Strangulation, Felonious Restraint Charges
A Laramie man was arrested and charged with strangulation of a household member, felonious restraint as well as other misdemeanor charges on Friday, March 9.
According to a release from the Laramie Police Department, officers with the LPD were dispatched to the 1000 Block of North McCue St. for a report of a disturbance.
Officers conducted an investigation and arrested Richard A. Aguilar of Laramie and charged him with strangulation of a household member and felonious restraint as well as interference with an emergency call and failure to report a hit-and-run.
The LPD says strangulation of a household member is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison, felonious restraint is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
Aguilar remains incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center.
