When Meghan Lanphere and Shaunna Owens moved to Laramie, they both had a hard time finding opportunities to promote their home based businesses, so they decided to create one. The Laramie Ladies Expo will be at the Westfield Center on June 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"This has gotten so much bigger than we expected," said Lanphere about the inaugural event. "We thought we'd have ten people and that would be nice, but we're maxed out at our location with 27 vendors."

Lanphere said they really just wanted to find a way to help support local moms and small businesses, "It's so nice to know that with your purchase you help a little girl get dance lessons or a little boy get a baseball jersey."

While it's certainly nice for all of the vendors to have a chance to sell their goods, the Expo will definitely be a bigger treat for those who go to shop. Everything from candles to Tupperware and jewelry to spa products will be for sale at the first ever Laramie Ladies Expo and every vendor will be contributing a door prize valued at $20 or more for attendees to enter to win.

The Laramie Ladies Expo is free and open to the public. The Westfield Center is located at 1673 Centennial Drive, next to the Fairfield Inn and Suites west of Interstate 80 off the Curtis St. exit. Check out the full list of vendors below.
