The Laramie High School rodeo club team will be hosting a fundraiser Friday, Feb. 22 at the Albany County Fairgrounds beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The dinner features a silent and live auction. Tickets are available at the door, by contacting a high school rodeo club member, or by calling or texting 307-760-4699 or 307-399-9422. The cost is $15.

Some of the auction items up for grabs this year include a 500 Polaris Ranger, a 420 Honda Rancher 4-wheeler, a custom fire pit, a mystery gun, and more. There will also be a gun raffle for a Ruger 6.5 Creedmoor donated by the West Laramie Fly Store. A ticket to the dinner gets you one ticket for the gun raffle.

Laramie High School rodeo club president and senior McKenna Clingman joined host David Settle for a visit during the “Laramie Live on KOWB” radio morning show recently. They talked about the fundraiser, what the proceeds go towards, the high school season last fall, and more in the video above.

Corporate tables of 8 are also available by calling or texting the previously listed phone numbers.

The spring portion of the high school rodeo season is less than two months away. They start in Laramie April 4, 5, and 6 at the Hansen Arena.
