Usually, at this time of year, you'll see articles on how to save yourself back and joint pain plus avoid a heart attack when shoveling snow.

I'm here to give you the lazy way out.

You're welcome.

Some have suggested that, during heavy snow, you go outside every half hour and shovel a little more before it has a chance to build up.

Buy a snow blower, they say.

That sounds like more work in order to save on more work.

Here is the lazy man's way to clear that snow.

The next time we get a heavy snow event just sit inside and let it build up.

You know, that kid up the street would shovel your walk and driveway for a few bucks. He wants the money and you're fine with paying him to work while you nap. Sounds like this deal benefits both parties.

Besides, it teaches these young people a good work ethic or something.

Some professionals don't charge all that much. Shop around.

Sooner or later Wyoming wind will blow all that snow away. So why bother?

Here is the best idea yet.

Go out back and cook on the grill.

Save the ashes.

Spread those ashes across your walkway as soon as the snow stops falling

You know the sun is going to come out sooner or later.

That black ash will help the sun heat the snow and it will melt.

That saves a lot of work, and you have a burger or steak while you wait.

Do you have kids?

Well, if you have kids then why are YOU shoveling snow?

Honestly, you had them for a reason, right?

This is one of those reasons.

Do you have any other suggestions on how to save yourself from shoveling snow?

Send us your ideas. We'll post them.

Snow Crushes Wheatland, Wyoming Airplane Hangars

This row of hangars goes back many years. Some history was lost under a crush of snow.

March 21st, 2021. A record-breaking snowstorm had shut down most of Wyoming and was not yet done. Below is a gallery of photos as cleanup continues.

One of the small airports in Platte County, Wyoming is Phifer Airfield on Antelope Gap Road, east of Wheatland. Platte County has the Wheatland airport, along with one in Torrington and Guernsey. They were all shut down in the storm.
