LARAMIE -- Jay Sawvel has already proven to be more relaxed than his predecessor, but that doesn't mean he's changing everything Craig Bohl implemented during his decade on the sidelines in Laramie.

Take names on the back of jerseys for example.

That rule remains.

These guys play for the seven letters across the front, it's been said. Wyoming's rookie head coach did add, though, at some point, this Cowboys' team will wear all white from head to toe.

Bohl was strictly a brown-and-gold guy, though he did budge a couple of times during his tenure, allowing one "third jersey" and an American Flag-themed Steamboat logo to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

There are a handful of transfers and true freshmen competing in spring practice. That means new numbers. Of course, some of the veterans like to switch digits, too. We have a few of those, too.

Let this be your guide when you're standing on the sidelines at open practice on April 6 and 13.

Told you Sawvel was relaxed:

THE ROOKIES:

21 - Chris Durr Jr. - Wide receiver - 5'10", 162 - Chicago, Ill.

28 - Adrian Onyeigo - Linebacker - 6'3", 208 - Rogers, Minn.

99 - Keelan Anderson - Placekicker/ Punter - 5'10", 166 - Cheyenne, Wyo.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
