Getting Around Wyoming This Weekend [VIDEO]

WYDOT is working hard for your time off. They want to have high country roads open by Memorial Day weekend. To that end, they are putting in 10 hour days and pushing hard with some older equipment. While its hard on the machinery, the crews have luckily avoided any major breakdowns.

While snow-melt and rain have caused some flooding in Carbon and Fremont counties that could pull some of the labor force off snow removal duty, they should be able to reach their goals. So far, US 14-A is already open. Wyo 130 over Snowy Range Pass should be open by Memorial Day weekend. They are also working to open Wyo 70 over Battle Pass.

Thanks to the hard workers of WYDOT and The Wyoming Highway Patrol, may they all stay safe. In the meantime, keep an eye out for melting snow that is refreezing at night and causing potential driving hazards.
