The annual Christmas Parade in downtown Laramie takes place on Friday, December 5 at 6:00 p.m.

This year’s parade, featuring the theme of “Frosty Comes to Downtown Laramie”, is expected to have about 20 entries and will take approximately 40 minutes to complete.

The route for the parade begins at the Boot Barn parking lot and continues as follows:

  • From Boot Barn parking lot head south on Second Street
  • Turn west on University Avenue
  • Turn south onto First Street
  • Turn east onto Garfield Street
  • Turn north on Second Street
  • Continue to Boot Barn parking lot

Natalia Johnson, a parade coordinator, says that Frosty and even Santa will make appearances at the parade.

She says some of the best viewing for the parade will take place along First Street and as the parade makes its way north on Second.

Johnson adds that there are some floats that still have spots available for children interested in riding or walking in the parade. Those interested in riding on a float or walking in the parade can contact Natalia at 307-631-7215 no later than 3 p.m. on Friday.

The parade begins after the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
