Comedian Nick Vatterott will perform Wednesday, April 22, at 8 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public.

Student Brandon Smith, the winner of UW Stands Up, will open for Vatterott.

Vatterott is an energetic performer who does improv, sketch and stand-up comedy. He has performed on “Conan” and “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and had his own half-hour special on Comedy Central in 2012. Vatterott also contributed to the Comedy Central stand-up sketch show “Mash Up.”

Vatterott has won several awards, including the Andy Kaufman Award in 2011. He performed in Chicago’s Second City troupe; has been hailed as a “breakout” from the 2010 Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival; and was called the “Funniest Man in Chicago” by Chicago Magazine.
