UPDATE:

Police continue to search for a woman suspected of robbing the Bank of the West located at 222 E. Garfield St. in Laramie.

According to Steve Morgan of the Laramie Police Department, the suspect handed a bank teller a note demanding cash shortly after 4:40 p.m. It is unknown whether the suspect was armed during the robbery. 

The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash in an unknown direction, according to Morgan. It is unknown whether she fled in a vehicle or on foot. 

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery to contact Detective Sergeant Robert Terry of the Laramie Police Department at (307) 721-3563 or the Laramie Communications Center at (307) 721-2526.

At least one suspect remains at large as police investigate a crime scene at Bank of the West in Laramie.

Police at the scene reported no injuries and said no suspects were in custody as of 5 p.m. Wednesday. No further information or a description of the suspect or suspects was available.

Officers are using dogs as they scour Laramie for a suspect or suspects. Dogs were used to search property across Third Street from the Loaf N Jug shortly before 5 p.m.

The Laramie Police Department is formally handling the search and investigation, but Albany County Sheriff's deputies are assisting.
